MONROE, La. (AP) — The University of Louisiana at Monroe has reached an agreement with Wake Forest for a home-and-home series and the two schools will meet in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Sept. 14.

Wake Forest will travel to Monroe in 2014 with the matchup serving as that season's home opener for ULM.

Warhawks coach Todd Berry said Monday that Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe puts a great team on the field each year and they're looking forward to playing against them.

The inaugural meeting with Wake Forest pushes ULM's non-conference schedule to five games as the Warhawks filled the vacant spot left by the early departures by Middle Tennessee and Florida Atlantic.

ULM opens the season at Oklahoma on Aug. 31.
