FARGO, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota State finished sixth in attendance in the Football Championship Subdivision.

Final figures released Thursday by the NCAA show that NDSU averaged 18,516 fans over six regular season and three post season games. That's a school record.

The team has notched 13 sellouts over the past seven seasons, including a single-game record of 19,065 fans against Youngstown State in October.

NDSU has a 52-12 record in the Fargodome over the past 10 years under head coach Craig Bohl.

The Bison won their second straight FCS title in January.

Appalachian State led the FCS in attendance for the fifth time in six years with an average of 26,358 fans per game. Montana, James Madison and Old Dominion also averaged more than 20,000 fans per contest.
