SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah opens the 2013 season against instate rival Utah State and plays five of its first six games at home, including an Oct. 12 homecoming matchup against Rose Bowl champion Stanford.

The Utes won't leave the state for the first seven weeks. After Utah State, they face Weber State on Sept. 7 and Oregon State the following Saturday. They make a short road trip to Provo for a Sept. 21 game against BYU.

In addition to facing Stanford for the first time since joining the Pac-12, the Utes play perennial conference power Oregon in Eugene on Nov. 16. Utah's road-heavy second half of the season starts with back-to-back contests against Arizona and USC on Oct. 19 and Oct. 26.

The Utes have two byes in 2013 and seven home games.
