JUSTICES HEARING APPEAL IN COUPLE'S MURDER

The Florida Supreme Court is hearing an appeal from a karate instructor convicted of murdering a wealthy Pensacola couple with nine adopted special needs children. The justices are hearing the case of Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr. on Wednesday in Tallahassee.

UNIVERSITY LEADERS WANT TO AVOID TUITION HIKE

Leaders of the state's university system and student government groups are offering Florida lawmakers a tuition deal. They won't seek tuition hikes next year if the Legislature agrees to spend $118 million more in state money on the 12-school university system.

GIRL, WOMAN, HORSE KILLED IN CRASH
