JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State University head football coach Gus Malzahn has dismissed defensive back Terrious Triplett from the team.

ASU officials said in a news release that Triplett was dismissed for violating team rules. No other explanation was offered.

Triplett was a redshirt freshman from Memphis. He was credited with six tackles in seven games this season.
