Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts had a huge first half against Fresno State, and his backup got into the game, too.
Hurts completed 12 of 13 passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns, including a 55-yard scoring jaunt on the second play from scrimmage.

Hurts led touchdown drives on each of his four possessions to stake the top-ranked Crimson Tide to a 28-3 lead.
The hot start came after Hurts failed to put up big numbers in a win over Florida State. He ran for 55 yards and passed for 96 in that game.
The coaches also got freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa his first college action when he came in for a series with 10:35 left in the second quarter. The five-star signee from Hawaii took over a drive that started just across midfield and managed a first down before the Tide punted.
He was 2-of-3 passing for 15 yards and was sacked.
