LSU-South Carolina game moved to Louisiana due to flooding

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina is moving its home game against LSU to Baton Rouge because of massive flooding around the university.

The time for Saturday's game at LSU has not been announced.

South Carolina officials wanted to keep the game in Columbia, but said Wednesday that law enforcement who would direct traffic and keep Williams-Brice Stadium safe were needed elsewhere in the area to help clean up from the massive flooding.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Colorado is inching closer to the elite of the Pac-12. It just didn't happen Saturday night.

Royce Freeman rushed for 163 yards and scored twice, third-string quarterback Taylor Alie tossed a clinching touchdown pass in the fourth quarter and Oregon beat Colorado 41-24 on a soggy Saturday night.

Michigan State's Williamson has surgery on bicep

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State defensive back RJ Williamson will miss an extended period of time after having surgery Sunday on a torn bicep.

The fourth-ranked Spartans have had to deal with several major injuries this season. Linebacker Ed Davis, defensive back Vayante Copeland and offensive lineman Dennis Finley are out for the season, and offensive lineman Jack Conklin and tight end Josiah Price also went down with injuries recently.

Mississippi's Johnson has knee surgery to repair meniscus

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi linebacker C.J. Johnson had surgery on Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound senior has started four games this season, making 17 tackles and grabbing two interceptions. School spokesman Kyle Campbell confirmed Johnson's surgery on Tuesday and said the linebacker is expected to need four to six weeks to recover.
