Jim Harbaugh and Mark Dantonio have been publicly cordial to each other during their three seasons as Big Ten rivals, but neither is above a little Michigan-Michigan State sniping.
Dantonio was asked Sunday about the bowl pecking order after his Michigan State team ended up in the Dec. 28 Holiday Bowl, while Harbaugh and Michigan will play in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1. Michigan State has a better record than Michigan and beat the Wolverines in October in Ann Arbor.
"The records are what they are," Dantonio said. "I'll just continue to concentrate on beating Michigan and let things sort of sort out."
Michigan State is 8-3 against Michigan under Dantonio, and 2-1 since Harbaugh took over the Wolverines. The Michigan coach apparently didn't appreciate the reminder.
Saw Coach D comments on continuing to "focus" on how "he" can beat Michigan. Congrats on turning around a 3-9 team, plagued with off field issues. Good for BIG to have him back.

Dantonio then chimed in a little while later:
For all Spartans, “it’s not over, it’ll never be over, it’s just getting started” #SpartansWill
