Bowl games are supposed to be of the "neutral-site" variety by definition, the locale usually not favoring one side over another.
That seems to especially ring true for Monday's College Football Playoff championship game between Clemson and Alabama.

In short, Tampa could not have been a better site.
The way the CFP officials have it figured, Raymond James Stadium _ picked more than three years ago as the host for this game, by the way _ is basically equidistant from the Clemson and Alabama campuses. In air miles, Clemson is 466 miles away, Alabama is 468. In driving distance, Clemson is 575 miles, Alabama 584.
