Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops stepped down Wednesday as the winningest coach in school history after 18 seasons with a 190-48 record. The 56-year-old won a national championship, 10 conference titles, coached two Heisman Trophy winners and was named AP Coach of the Year in 200. 

The college football world was taken by surprise after the sudden announcement from the the longest-tenured active coach in major college football.
