A couple of questionable decisions by Virginia Tech coach Justin Fuente have cost the No. 17 Hokies points in the first half of their game against Georgia Tech.
Trailing 7-3 early in the second quarter, Fuente decided to go for it when facing fourth-and-2 at the Yellows Jackets 8, instead of taking a chip-shot field. Virginia Tech appeared to get away with movement before the snap, which actually worked in Georgia Tech's favor.

Backup quarterback AJ Bush attempted to run right, spun back to the left and was thrown for a 3-yard loss to turn the ball over to the Yellow Jackets.
Later in the period, after Sean Savoy scored on a 14-yard run, Fuente passed on the extra point and decided to go for a 2-point conversion.
Again, Virginia Tech was stopped, leaving Georgia Tech with a 14-9 halftime lead.
#Hokies go for 2 for no good reason, don't get it. Fuente has done more head-scratching things in the last 6 quarters than in his first 21 games combined.
