BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — The Montana State football team is seeded third in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs and earned a first-round bye in the 20-team tournament. The winner of this weekend's game between Villanova and Stony Brook will play at Montana State (10-1) on Dec. 1. Eastern Washington, Montana State and Cal Poly shared the Big Sky Conference regular-season title, with Eastern Washington winning the league's automatic playoff berth. Eastern Washington (9-2) is seeded second and will host the winner of this weekend's game between Wagner and Colgate on Dec. 1. Cal Poly (9-2) also received an at-large berth and plays at 2011 national runner-up Sam Houston State (8-3) on Dec. 1.
