THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — The Nicholls State will play in its final road conference game against the Lamar Cardinals.

Kickoff at Provost Umphrey Stadium is slated for 3 p.m. Saturday.

Nicholls is coming off a 42-10 loss at home against McNeese State last Saturday. Despite having four interceptions against the Cowboys, the Colonels still have the third best passing offense in the Southland, throwing for 231.1 yards per game. However, Lamar posts the second toughest pass defense in the league, giving up only 203 yards per contest.

Although Lamar is 0-2 at home in conference, they managed shutouts at Provost earlier in the year, blanking Prairie View A&M and Langston by identical 31-0 scores.
