Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick made a couple of trips to the medical tent on Saturday night against LSU, but stayed in the game.
Fitzpatrick, a junior, is widely considered a top NFL prospect.
Alabama's defense took a hit during the game, with Shaun Dion Hamilton, Jamey Mosley, Anfernee Jennings and Mack Wilson all banged up.
Nick Saban said at the halftime broadcast interview that he was using Fitzpatick in limited situations.
"We tried to play him just in dime there at the goal line where we know he's not going to have to run deep, but we'll have to see what happens," Saban said.
