SEATTLE (AP) — Washington still does not know whether quarterback Keith Price will start in Friday's Apple Cup against rival Washington State, although his recovery from a shoulder injury is ahead of where he was a week ago.

Washington coach Steve Sarkisian said Monday that they will prepare for backup Cyler Miles to make his second consecutive start, but with the idea that Price can play if he shows enough progress during the week. Price did not attempt to throw in practice until Thursday and was held out of Saturday's game at Oregon State despite a strong pregame session.

The Huskies didn't need Price as they rushed for 530 yards in a 69-27 blowout of the Beavers.

Sarkisian said Price threw in practice on Monday morning but that he's still not 100 percent.
