Wisconsin kicker Rafael Gaglianone joined members of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in a pregame ritual honoring the late Nebraska punter Sam Foltz.

On Saturday, about an hour before kickoff between No. 11 Wisconsin and No. 7 Nebraska, Gaglianone joined a group of Nebraska players who walked from the tunnel to the sideline to drape Foltz's No. 27 jersey over a cooler. Nebraska kicker Drew Brown led the contingent.

Foltz was killed in a July car accident in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, about 30 miles west of Milwaukee. Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler was also killed in the single-vehicle crash on a wet road.

Gaglianone was friends with Foltz and changed his jersey number to Foltz's 27 for this season. Gaglianone is out for the year with a back injury.
