LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Jett Duffey is coming off a road win in his first career start, and Alan Bowman is now three weeks removed from a crunching hit that led to a partially collapsed lung.

Toss in McLane Carter briefly replacing Duffey in Texas Tech's last game, and there's no telling who might start at quarterback Saturday when the Red Raiders (4-2, 2-1 Big 12) host Kansas (2-4, 0-3).

As usual, coach Kliff Kingsbury isn't saying.

SEATTLE (AP) — Washington and Colorado are going to need help along the way if they are interested in a replay of the Pac-12 championship game of two years ago.

One of them will be stuck with a second loss in league play after the 15th-ranked Huskies host the Buffaloes on Saturday, each looking to rebound from losses a week ago.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Thanks to three fourth-quarter comebacks, No. 21 South Florida remains one of eight unbeaten teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

Coach Charlie Strong just wishes the Bulls (6-0, 2-0), who can match the best start in school history by beating Connecticut (1-5, 0-3) on Saturday, didn't have to prove their resilience with such regularity.

Down 10 at home to Georgia Tech, no problem. Double-digit deficits on the road against Illinois (12) and last week at Tulsa (14) weren't too much to overcome either.

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Miami of Ohio coach Chuck Martin isn't exactly looking forward to playing Army at Michie Stadium.

Call it the fear of the triple option.

"It's a nightmare to try to defend," Martin said. "It's certainly a nightmare to try to defend for one week. There's nothing you can throw at them that they haven't seen. If you try to do a few different things (defensively), they're used to it. They've seen every front, every gimmick, every pressure. It's what they do. They laugh."

Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey has forgotten his last pass. It wasn't so easy to do.

Two weeks ago on the Orange's first offensive play in overtime at Pittsburgh after the Panthers had opened extra time with a touchdown, the senior threw an interception in the end zone and trudged off the field a loser again.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Mired in a three-game losing streak and desperate to get some production from its struggling offense, Navy faces the unenviable task of going up against surging Houston and standout defensive tackle Ed Oliver.

If the Midshipmen only had to worry about Houston's explosive offense, that would be quite enough. Oliver, however, makes winning on Saturday an even tougher proposition.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The important number for No. 20 Cincinnati in its first game as a ranked team is the line against Temple: 3½.

The Owls are 3½-point favorites against the undefeated Bearcats. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field, the Philly stadium where the Owls (4-3, 3-0 American Athletic) have already lost twice.

Sure, the Bearcats are 6-0, a nice record for any team, but the question has been raised — who have they beaten?

Alabama! (A&M, not the Crimson Tide).

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Auburn's season has turned sour after three losses in the past five weeks ended any talk of a Southeastern Conference title.

Now the Tigers are trying to finish the regular season strong, starting with Saturday's game at Mississippi.

"We're at a point now where there is no more championship," Malzahn said. "But we're going to play for Auburn; we're going to play for each other."
